JAMMU, Sept 19: Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu, Balbir Lal Jaswal today granted seven days police remand of Director and Secretary of Rotary Inner Wheels for their alleged involvement in the sexual exploitation of mentally challenged girls in a home at Channi Rama.
The Director Girdhari Lal Koul, son of Shiv Ji Koul of Trikuta Nagar and Secretary Rajinder Kapoor, son of Gurudas Kapoor of Channi Himmat were produced before the court by member of Special Investigation Team (SIT) SI Manoj Kumar.
The Court after perusing the CD file observed, “the grounds enumerated in the application for remand are well founded as such the accused are remanded to police custody for a period of seven days from today with the direction to Investigating Officer to get the medical examination of the accused conducted after every 24 hours”.
The Court also granted 15 days judicial remand of Angad Kumar, son of Sat Pal, presently Chowkidar Rotary Inner Wheel Home and Surjeet Kumar, son of Bhola Ram, ex-Chowkidar.
