Court denies bail to two accused in fake currency case

JAMMU, July 23: Sub-Judge Jammu Kusum Pandita has rejected the bail application of Rashid Ali and Muzffar Wazir in fake currency case.
After hearing Senior PO Puja Nijhon appearing for the State, Sub-Judge observed, “the offences allegedly committed by the accused carry punishment for imprisonment for life”, adding “the fake currency has the potential to cause great loss to the economy of the country”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application of the accused, who were arrested by Trikuta Nagar Police on June 24, 2018.
