JAMMU, June 6: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, M K Hanjura today rejected bail application of Balvinder Kumar, husband and Shiv Lal, father-in-law of a woman, who was tried to be killed by her in-laws by setting her ablaze for want of dowry on April 30, 2013 in Kathua district.
After hearing Advocate Parveen Gupta for the accused persons whereas Public Prosecutor for the State, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “there is prima facie evidence to suggest that the petitioners committed the crime . It is a typical case of the fences swallowing the crops. It adds to the severity of the crime”, adding “releasing accused on bail at this stage will be pre-mature”.
With these observations, Court rejected the bail applications.
