SRINAGAR, May 15: Hundreds of contractual teachers today held protest against the Government’s decision of disengaging them, while they demanded that the administration should reconsider their decision.
During the day long protests against the Govt’s decision of disengaging them, the teachers said that they belong to places where there is a dearth of teachers and where there are no other opportunities for youth.
“There is dearth of teachers in the areas where we come from and amid that the Govt has ordered the disengagement of teachers,” said a teacher Suhail Shaheen Lone. The teachers were raising slogans against the administration and were demanding immediate re-engagement.
The teachers demanded that their disengagement should be reconsidered and their future must be secured. “We appeal Governor and the Advisor to reconsider the decision,” the teachers said.
