Construct lane and drain in Haqumat Colony

JAMMU, Aug 23: We the residents of Haqumat Colony, JMC Ward No. 58, opposite Digiana Camp, near Busy Academy and Amargyan Lane, Jammu, urge the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to take immediate steps to repair the dilapidated lane and construct a proper drainage system.

The residents say that the lane has remained in poor condition for years, with no proper drainage system, causing waterlogging and overflow onto the road during rains. The situation creates difficulties for pedestrians, schoolchildren, elderly people and local residents.

We have repeatedly approached the authorities since 2017, but the issue remains unresolved. The AEE, JMC Division-V and Sub-Division-II, Jammu, prepares estimates every year, but no solution has been implemented on the ground.

We appeal to the JMC and concerned authorities to execute the work at the earliest and provide a permanent solution to the drainage and road problems.
