VIJAYPUR, May 11: Monthly meeting of Congress worker was held here today under the leadership of senior Congress leader Arun Sharma.
While speaking on the occasion, Arun Sharma charged the PDP-BJP coalition Government with failure on all fronts. He alleged that the State Government was adopting an insensitive approach towards genuine issues of general public, who are facing problems like scarcity of drinking water, unscheduled power cuts, poor condition of roads and no ration at the ration depots.
“During the elections, the BJP leaders befooled people on the name of Jammu but for the lust of power, they have now surrendered to Kashmir centric PDP,” Arun alleged and asked people to teach such forces a lesson in the local body and Panchayat elections.
The Congress leader asked the party activists to work hard for highlighting the issues of common masses and strengthening Congress at grass root level. He stressed that only Congress can provide a people friendly Government and address the issues of common masses.
“Under the dynamic leadership of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad and G A Mir, the Congress will emerge victorious in the local body elections, which may be held soon in Jammu and Kashmir,” Arun said.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, included Bishamber Singh, Romesh Choudhary, Pummy Choudhary, Gulshan Lal, Rajesh Kumar, Capt Bolla Ram, Capt Baldev Raj, Sat Paul , S Onkar Singh, Sumiter Singh, Nazir Ahmed and Salim Mohammad.
