Congress workers highlight local issues

SAMBA, Oct 24: A meeting of Congress workers of Vijaypur constituency was convened, here today  under the chairmanship of Arun Sharma,  senior Congress leader for highlighting various local and political  issues.
The participating Congress workers drew attention towards several local issues, such as non-availability of ration at the Government depots, inadequate supply of drinking water, bad condition of roads in villages and increasing un-employment.
While addressing the workers, Arun Sharma charged the PDP-BJP Coalition Government with failure on fronts. He alleged that the incumbent Government has failed to meet expectations of the people and their aspirations.  “What to talk of development and generating employment for the youth, this Government has not even delivered ration to the people and provide smooth supply of drinking water,” he alleged and predicted fall of the Coalition Government soon.
Arun Sharma assured the workers that the Congress party would continue to highlight the demands and grievances of the common masses for their redressal at the earliest. He also appealed people to strengthen Congress party for launching a mass movement against the incompetent ruling alliance.
Others, who spoke on the occasion and highlighted the local issues besides grievances of the people, included Bishamber Singh Slathia, Dr  Chhajju Ram, Capt  Baldev Raj, Capt  Bhola Nath, Yograj, Samitar Singh, Onkar Singh, Rashpal Sharma, Gulshan Sharma and  Rehmat Ali.
