UDHAMPUR, Nov 27: J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul concluded his six -days tour to Udhampur-Doda-Kishtwar and Ramban districts.
Despite of heavy rainfall and snow during his entire tour, Ashok Kaul accompanied by various senior party leaders chaired series of meetings of BJP activists in the context of District Development Council (DDC) election in these districts.
Ashok Kaul chaired meetings at Chenani (Udhampur), Batote, Assar, Doda, TRC Bhaderwah, Drudu, Udrana, Bhalra, Khaleni Top, Thathri, Kishtwar, Nagseni, Drabshalla, Banihal. He was also accompanied by BJP vice-president, Pawan Khajuria, BJP publicity secretary, Jugal Kishore Gupta, former MLA, Neelam Langeh, Rakesh Thakur, district president, Ramban and Ramesh Sharma, State Executive Member while submitting the nomination forms of candidates.
Ashok Kaul, while addressing the meetings focused on the need to empower the common masses for which he said that power needs to be decentralized. He constantly attacked the previous governments for not allowing the masses and local leaders to be strengthened while they kept the power to themselves. This was the only reason that they never allowed the Panchayati Raj system to be strengthened in the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir.
Even some of the earlier Central governments headed by Congress raised the voice to empower Panchayati Raj, but even then Congress never strengthened the public-friendly Panchayati Raj system in erstwhile J&K State, he added.
Kaul said that Congress leaders of J&K always remained hand in glove with the parties like NC and PDP and incessantly misused Central funds at their free will.
He also said that the local issues like VDCs will be resolved by BJP at the priority and added that BJP has constantly worked with a vision and mission to meet the expectations of the public with an empathetic approach.
Kaul during his public addresses sought vote for the BJP candidates and said that clean governance without corruption can only by delivered by BJP and added that with the victory of BJP candidates in a majority of DDC seats the development process will get boost in the entire region.
