JAMMU, June 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress Committee has questioned the UT Administration for ignoring the open violations of the pandemic COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines by some BJP leaders and their cadre, as number of such incidents have been reported.
Reacting to the reports of the social and political gatherings and other functions held by senior BJP leaders, Congress has asked the Government, why there are different norms and yardsticks in applying these restrictions?
While BJP leaders continue to risk the lives of people by holding political and several functions showing least respect to the norms, the Government failed to take action in this regard. The BJP leadership failed to reign in the leaders and cadres from openly violating the norms. Even inauguration functions, political and social gatherings have been held during past days, which are clear violations, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said.
