Confederation to hold protest on opening day of Secretariat

JAMMU, Nov 1: To project demands, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations will hold protest on the opening day of Civil Secretariat in the winter capital.
The decision was taken in a meeting of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations, which was presided over by State President of the Confederation RK Kalsotra.
The meeting was attended by ladies, gents, children and was held to formulate strategy for pressurising the Government for fulfilling the pending demands viz. continuation of reservation in promotions, timely scholarships, adequate funds under SCP/STP, clearance of backlog, implementation of Mandal Commission in toto, stop atrocities on the name of caste, colour and creed and other demands.
It has been resolved to hold a symbolic protest on November 6 on the day of opening of Secretariat in Jammu at Maheshpura Chowk.
While addressing the gathering, Kalsotra appealed to the cadre of confederation to hold meetings and create awareness among the masses for participation and for pressurising the Govt to get their demands fulfilled.
Daya Ram Bhagat, Coordinator Bishnah, Chaman Lal, Shahi Syal, Hans Raj Bhagat, Sunil Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Yash Pal, Rogi Das and many others were present in the meeting.
