JAMMU, Dec 13: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the reconstitution of a committee (in supersession to Government Order Number 239-JK HME of 2022 dated 26-04-2022) for formulation of draft guidelines for implementing the recommendations of the Expert Committee constituted by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding pay and working conditions of nurses working in private hospitals and nursing homes in the Union Territory.
The Committee comprised of Babila Rakwal (Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K), Zahoor Ahmad Wani (Director Finance, H&ME Department), Pankaj Gupta (MD, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Limited), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather (Director, Health Services Kashmir), Dr Rajeev Sharma (Director, Health Services Jammu), Dr Sandeep Singh (Registrar, J&K Paramedical/Nursing Council), Razia Mehmood (I/c Principal, AMT School Srinagar and Rajni Sharma (I/c Principal, AMT School, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu).
“While finalizing the draft guidelines, the Committee shall also suggest the measures to counter any sort of negative impact on account of the proposed salary hike on the public health delivery system of the Union Territory,” said an order issued by the Government.
As per the Order, the Committee shall submit its report within a period of 30 days. “The Committee shall be serviced by the National Health Mission J&K,” it further mentioned.
