Coaching prog for medical, engg courses begins at JKBOSE

JAMMU, Apr 5: A first ever comprehensive coaching programme for medical and engineering courses began today at J&K State Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Rehari Colony, Jammu.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Chairman, JKBOSE, Prof Zahoor Ahmad Chatt, who while speaking on the occasion said that it is a new initiative taken by JKBOSE for class 12th students, who have passed or appeared in the Annual Examination, March 2016.
He said that the programme shall work on methodology different from other coaching institutes and most experienced faculty members have been engaged for conducting intensive coaching programme.
Prof Chatt further said that 75 students have been selected so far through an online process from different districts of Jammu division on first come first serve basis. He added that the coaching programme shall be based not only on curriculum but will also help students learn time management during competitive exams besides counseling and confidence building of students to face the entrance examinations.
“The success of the programme depends on coordination between students and faculty”, he said, adding that the students should take advantage of the programme for shaping their career prospects.
Secretary, JKBOSE, Prof Veena Pandita, advised the students to work hard and to use this precious time thoroughly and contribute to the society in a best possible way. She said that the JKBOSE is conducting coaching programme both in Kashmir and Jammu in the respective divisions to facilitate the students.
Earlier, Director, Academics, JKBOSE, Kaneez Fatima, in her welcome address, highlighted the importance of such type of initiatives taken by the JKBOSE from time to time by providing support for brightening the future of the students.
