Srinagar, Feb 5: More than 100 coaching centres associated with Coaching Centres Association (CCA) today submitted their undertakings to the High Court as per directions over the implementation of guidelines for functioning.
CCA in a statement said it is bound to obey the rules of High Court and have taken every step to meet the guidelines.
“Today more than 100 of our members submitted their undertakings with Registrar Judicial J&K High Court affirming that they will abide by the guidelines issued by the Government,” said G N Var chairman CCA.
“There are few coaching centres whose owners are outside or they have some other problems, due to which they are yet to complete some formalities. But they are also in the process.”
The Association reiterated their stand that all the coaching centres would abide by the high court directions and Government orders. “We have never shied away from fulfilling the guidelines and we will do everything in this regard. But our only concern is that it came at the end of the coaching season and should have been started earlier,” said Var.
He said at the fag end of this session some coaching centres may lack in the implementation of certain guidelines but from next session everything would be in order.
He said the Government had framed rules vide order No: 435-Edi of 2010 dated April 30, 2010 under the Regulation of Private Coaching Centre Rules, 2010, to regulate the functioning / performance of private coaching centres in the State. “But till date these rules were never implemented. But the High Court recently passed an order asking all coaching centres to submit their undertakings that they will abide by the guidelines,” he said.
