JAMMU, Aug 4: A delegation of locals of Wards 1 and 2 from Jammu East Constituency here today met former Minister, Yogesh Sawhney and expressed their concern regarding closure of Mubarak Mandi Heritage complex. The delegation said that authorities have installed iron gates at the entry and exit point of the heritage complex despite repeated requests by them for not doing so.
The delegation said that locals of Jammu East earlier raised the same issue before heritage complex authorities but to no avail.
Sawhney proposed to approach higher authorities for finding some permanent sustainable solution to these everyday problems that are making people’s lives tougher, especially for the residents of Jammu East.
He also said that development of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex must not come at the cost that people become resentful of the project itself after all the project is for the people.
