UDHAMPUR, July 12: A class 10th student drowned while taking bath in Tawi river near Jakheni, here this evening.
The deceased was identified as Dilip Kumar (15), son of Suram Chand of Umala, near Jakheni. While taking bath in Tawi, he slipped into deep water and drowned.
The mishap took place around 8 p.m and the body was fished out around 9 pm.
Later, the body was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for conducting post mortem while Police has registered a case in this connection for legal formalities.
