SRINAGAR: A civilian was injured in a grenade attack by militants near a bus stand in south Kashmir district of Pulwama this evening, official sources said here.
They said militants lobbed a grenade at security forces near Khrew bus stand in Pampore in Pulwama this evening, resulting in injuries to a civilian.
The injured was immediately taken to a hospital, where his health condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, the militants managed to escape during the chaos created due to the explosion of the grenade. However, they said additional security forces have been rushed and a search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers.
This is the third incident in the last four days in south Kashmir. Unidentified militants lobbed a grenade towards Police Station Shopian on January 20 though no one was injured in the attack.
