JAMMU, Dec 5: In the 1st Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Gold Cup Tournament, being played at Parade Ground Jammu Christian Star defeated Shine Blue by two goals to nil (2-0), here today.
The winning team was given a cash prize of Rs 3100 by Anil Gupta, Ex Vice President CCI.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest, Ved Prakash Sharma, President Brahman Sabha,Vinod Mahajan President Mahajan Sabha,Murair Lal President Kashyap Rajput Sabha,Kasturi Lal Basotra President Sain Samaj and Anil Gupta, Ex Vice President CCI were the guests of honour.
Sanjay Pandoh, Secretary Khatri Sabha and MLA Jammu east Rajesh Gupta who is the Chairman of the tournament organizing Committee welcomed the chief guest and presented him with a bouquet and memento.
The chief guest and other guests of honour were also introduced with the teams before the start of the play.
Kavinder Gupta while interacting with the teams expressed his great satisfaction regarding the good organization of the tournament and congratulated the tournament organizing Comittee under the leadership of MLA Rajesh Gupta.
The members of the organising Comittee who were present on the ocassion included Naresh Dogra General Secretary State, Rakesh Khanna President, Mohan Lal,Fietous Sohtra,Gagan Kumar, Arunb Jasrotia, S.M.Gill, Bharat Bushan and Vikram Singh.
