UDHAMPUR, Mar 6: Udhampur Police today seized 15.5 gms of heroin (Chitta) from three narcotic smugglers, who were also arrested from Jakhani area in Udhampur.
Based on a reliable information, a Police party led by Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, SHO PS Udhampur, laid a naka at Jakhani, Udhampur and apprehended three suspects who were subjected to thorough search.
During their search, 15.5 grms of Heroine (Chitta) was recovered from the accused, identified as Abdulla Zargar, son of Abdul Latif of new bus stand Doda, Assrar Ul Haq, son of Haq Nawaz of Nehru Chowk Doda and Rahat Rafi, son of Mohd Rafi of Nagri Doda.
In this connection, a case FIR number 79/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up.
