JAMMU, Aug 21: Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Ludhiana, Bathinda and Jammu and Kashmir Vinay Kumar Jha today visited Income Tax Complex and held detailed interaction with the officers.
He shared with the officers the plans of the Income Tax Department vis-à-vis widening of tax base, increasing collection of tax and other important aspects. He told the taxmen to leave no stone unturned to meet the targets fixed by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
Later, the Chief Commissioner inaugurated vertical garden made of the plastic bottles in the Income Tax Complex.
It is pertinent to mention here that Income Tax Department as part of its social responsibility is assisting schools in raising vertical gardens through plastic bottles and large number of educational institutions have been covered in North West region.
The Chief Commissioner also visited Bal Niketan at Amphalla and interacted with inmates and shared with them his thoughts on different aspects.
