Chib distributes trophies among winners of Judo Boxing championship

SRINAGAR, May 28: Society for Human Welfare and Education, Solina Srinagar today organized a Sports event of Judo Boxing at Deaf & Dumb School Solina in which 20 teams from different States participated.
The Minister for Youth Services and Sports R S Chib was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chib stressed upon the youth to play the game in large number and for the purpose it is the responsibility of the Government to provide congenial sports infrastructure to the youth of the State, adding that sports and games are essential for imbibing discipline among the youth.
Chib said that the aim of the Department of Youth Services and sports and State Sports Council was to create sports infrastructure for the promotion of sports culture in the state.
Later, the Minister distributed trophies and cash prizes among the winners. J&K Judo Boxing team won the winning title, Delhi clinched second place and Haryana bagged third place.
Chib also visited Deaf, Dumb and Blind School and met the students and assured them necessary steps would be taken to provide every possible facilities from the government so that these children also achieve their target and aim.
