Channi police arrests narco smuggler with ganja

JAMMU, Mar 27: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with large quantity of ganja from Bagar Mandi Chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat police station this afternoon.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Channi Himmat police station led by SHO Aejaz Wani under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq intercepted a person near Bagar Mandi Chowk.
During checking, police recovered 2.5 kilograms of ganja, which the accused was selling among the youth in packed packets.
The narcotic smuggler namely Balram Yadav, son of Sham Lal Yadav, a resident of Bhagria, district Bhariach, Uttar Pradesh, presently residing in Sector 7 Channi Himmat has been arrested.
A case under FIR number 34/14 under Sections Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has registered at Channi Himmat police station and investigation started.
