KUPWARA, Nov 20: The mega Inter-School Cricket Tournament organized by Army in conjunction with Youth Welfare Society concluded at Chandigam with Chandigam XI winning the tournament.
The Tournament had started on November 6 in which total of six teams participated from different parts of North Kashmir.
The final match was played between Chandigam XI and Charkut XI.
Chandigam XI won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 122 runs in 15 overs, while, in reply, Chirkut XI managed to score only 75 runs in 13 overs.
A large crowd watched the final match.
A cash reward of Rs 10,000 was given to winning team while as Rs 5,000 was presented to the runners-up team. Many dignitaries were present on the occasion of prize distribution.
The local populace has hailed Army Unit for organizing the Tournament.
