JAMMU, Mar 24: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in its meeting here, today held under the leadership of Kundan Kashmiri expressed the hope that the massive mandate BJP got in Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand States is a testimony to the fact that people of the country are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they want him to take a bold decision on resettlement of displaced Pandits in their homeland in Kashmir as per their geo political aspirations.
The meeting, which was attended by KPC vice president Tej Pandita and other office bearers said 28 years in exile is a very long time and the Government should now be decisive on permanent rehabilitation of exiled Pandits in their homeland in Valley.
In his address Kundan Kashmiri said that people of India are also eagerly looking towards Narendra Modi that he will take a bold decision and settle the issue of exiled Pandits once for all who were hounded out from Valley by Pakistani terrorists and Jehadi elements over 27 years back and forced to take refuge in Jammu and other parts of country.
Kashmiri said Kashmiri Pandits pin high hopes in Prime Minister and present Government in this regard as restoration of homeland to Pandits is in the larger national interests also. He also demanded that the Government should take a tough stand against the terrorists and Jehadi elements in Valley by giving free hand to security forces.
