Ceasefire Exercise

Sir,
Ceasefire  decision taken by the Central Government was hailed by peace loving people of the State during the holy month of Ramzan. Although it was unilateral but Central Government was committed and sincere in its operation during Ramzan. It was an excercise in the  right direction and a step forward towards maintaining peace and tranquality in the disturbed State.
It is unfortunate that ceasefire exercise could not move ahead because of the fact shelling at the borders continued and as such we lost so many precious lives. Our border people suffer, day in and day out and have to leave their residential places to seek shelter at safer sites. Their agony gets compounded and there seems no check in their miseries. This all has happened in the holy month of Ramzan. It is not only on borders, our security forces are facing proxy war in the valley of Kashmir although they are maintaining total restraint in countering operations. Army vehicles are  targetted and heavily stoned.
There seems  total violation of ceasefire during the month  and present dispensation in the State needs to check this situation.
