CBI books Tehsildar, complainant; raids house

JAMMU, Mar 29: The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) today registered two First Information Reports (FIRs) against a Tehsildar on the charges of corruption and one private person for trying to grab prime land and conducted search in the house of latter.
Those booked by the CBI include Rohit Sharma, former Tehsildar Bahu who was caught red handed by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking corruption and complainant in the case Sominder Singh alias Sourabh son of late Darshan Singh, a resident of village Nari in RS Pura tehsil.
The CBI conducted raids at the house of Sominder Singh though it registered two separate FIRs against him and Rohit Sharma.
The FIR against Rohit Sharma has been registered on the charges of corruption. However, Sominder has been booked for alleged forgery of documents to grab prime land.
Initially the case of corruption against Rohit Sharma was being investigated by the ACB which had nabbed him red handed while taking corruption from Sominder Singh. However, the case was later transferred to the CBI.
