JAMMU, Feb 22: Carmel Convent High School organized “Carmel Marathon” wherein students from class 5th to 9th guided by PT Master Dheeraj Jamwal participated.
The Marathon “Pragati Ki Aur” was flagged by Kanchan Bala, Deputy Director of Youth Services and Sports, in the presence of school Principal Maria Suzette AC and the staff. The runners left the school gate via Satyam Resort towards Marble Market to Greater Kailash Chowk and back to school covering distance of 4 Km.
This Marathon was to herald the message to inculcate healthy habits which is the pre-reqiurement for the progress of the society.
The young Carmelites enthusiastically participated in the event. The management, staff committee members and the benefactors of the school rendered their full co-operation and support to make this event a success.
Fr Kuriakose, manager of the school gave away the prizes to the winners.
