JAMMU, Aug 24: A camp for assessment and distribution of appliances to disabled persons will be held at LBM Residential School for Sightless Girls, Fire Brigade Lane, Muthi Morh, Roop Nagar from 9 am onwards on August 29, 2014.
The camp is being organized jointly by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited and COPCO, to help the handicapped people. Disabled persons are required to report at the camp with two photographs, address proof and disability certificate.
The free distribution of appliances will be held at a special function to be held on September 7, 2014 at LBM Residential School for Sightless Girls, fire Brigade Lane, Muthi Morh, Roop Nagar (Jammu).
The decision in this regard was taken today at a meeting of representatives of ALIMCO, Chanalon and local NGO, Confederation of Physically Challenged Organisations.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Kumar Sahu, officer, P&O ALIMCO, Chanalon, R Bhan, OP Sharma, RD Dubey, Dr KK Bhardwaj, Omesh Gupta, Kukreja, Amarjeet and Rohit Sharma.
