JAMMU, Sept 6: President All J&K Oil Tankers Drivers and Cleaners Union (OTDCU), S. Ranjit Singh Raina today inaugurated a Calibration Center ‘Star Calibration Plant’ in Transport Nagar.
Establishment of a new Calibration Center was a long pending demand of Oil Tankers Drivers Union as earlier there was only one such Center in Narwal area and the drivers and commercial vehicle owners especially of oil tankers used to suffer a lot and had to wait for hours and days for simple calibration which is an essential formality for loading of petroleum products.
Speaking on the occasion OTDCU president urged the owner of Calibration Center, S. Santok Singh to ensure genuine and time bound services to the drivers.
S. Harasis Singh, another member of the Union thanked J&K Government and Department of Legal Metrology for setting up new Calibration Center in Transport Nagar for the convenience of the transporters.
S. Surinder Singh, Yograj, Davinder Singh, Sohan Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
