KATHUA, Oct 16: The Hiranagar Police has registered a case and snatched the licensed weapon from Yashpaul of Sherpur falling under the jurisdiction of Hiranagar Police Station after he fired at a three year old calf in the village today resulting in the instant death of the animal.
Police said a case has been registered against Yashpaul under FIR Number 109 of 2016 under Section 336 and his 315 bore gun was also seized.
However, police said that it can only be ascertained after the investigation whether the fire went out accidently from the gun or the animal was shot dead deliberately.
