SRINAGAR, Sept 28: State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here this evening, ordered promotions in the Forest and R&B Departments.
Vinod Ranjan, the then PCCF, has been promoted in the Apex Scale while as Abhai Kumar (APCCF) has been promoted to the level of Above Super Time Scale-II (Principal Chief Conservator of Forests) on ex-cadre basis.
The Cabinet also ordered promotion of Manoj Pant on proforma basis and Pramod Kumar Singh on ex-cadre basis to the rank of CCF (to the level of Above Super Time Scale-1(Additional Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests).
Promotions of Om Parkash, Roshan Jaggi, Jigmet Tapka, S K Gupta, Dr T S Ashok Kumar, Ashif Mehmood Sagar, N A Darzi and M A Tak to the level of Super Time Scale-II (Chief Conservator of Forests) on ex-cadre basis were also ordered.
Cabinet also ordered promotion of Mohit Gera, Neelu Gera, B K Singh and Sarvesh Rai to the level of Super Time Scale-II (Chief Conservator of Forests) on proforma basis.
Promotion of S Senthil Kumar, A R Hazari, M P Dogra, M M Hussain, Mian Javaid and Sameer Bharti to the level of Super Time Scale-I (Conservator of Forest) on ex-cadre basis also received the Cabinet’s nod.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the regular promotion of H K Koul as Chief Engineer (Civil) of R&B Department in the revised pay scale from February 23, 2006 to May 31, 2006 and Ram Saran Bangotra as Chief Engineer (Civil) of R&B Department from May 18, 2007 to March 31, 2008.
The regular promotion of Gul Mohammad with effect from September 14, 2007 to May 31, 2008, Vinod Kumar Puri with effect from September 14, 2007 to July 31, 2008, Arun Sharma from September 14, 2007 to July 31, 2008, Farooq Ahmed Wani, from February 29, 2008 to October 31, 2010, Surjeet Singh Anand from September 25, 2008 to October 31, 2009, Ashok Kumar Bhat from September 25, 2008 to May 31, 2010 and Romesh Kumar Handoo from November 1, 2009 to April 30, 2013 as Chief Engineers (Mechanical) of R&B Department in the revised pay scale also received the Cabinet approval.
The Cabinet decided to extend the period of submission of the report by the Cabinet Sub-Committee examining the creation of new administrative units in the State by two weeks beyond 24 September 2013.
It also ordered transfer and posting of Hilal Ahmed Parray, Director RAMSA as Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir relieving Shafaat Noor Barlas of the additional charge.
The Cabinet accorded ex-post facto sanction to the regularization of Jadav Nath Sharma against the post of Director, Horticulture, Jammu with effect from December 1, 2011 till he retired on superannuation on March 31, 2013.
It also gave nod to the creation of one supernumerary post of District Judge (Selection Grade) with effect from November 1, 2002 to October 31, 2004 for drawing salary and allowances in favour of Khawja Mohammad Qasim, Ex-District and Sessions Judge.
While condemning the terrorist attacks in Hiranagar and Samba, the Cabinet expressed sympathies with the families of those who lost their lives and those who were injured in these senseless acts of violence.
