CAA will not affect citizens of India: Brahmin Sabha

JAMMU, Jan 9: Describing Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as a historic one, Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) here today said, it is clear that CAA will have no effect on citizens of India including Hindus Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Christians or Buddhists.
“There is nothing in the Legislation, which targets a particular section of the society as is being spread by motivated elements with vested interests to gain undue mileage,” DBPS President, Ved Parkash Sharma said while addressing a meeting of Sabha activists.
He said that there is need to counter the misinformation campaign and the true facts before the nation.
Sharma appealed to the civil society and others organizations to come forward and challenge the false and baseless propaganda launched by antinational elements.
Senior Member of Sabha P.C Sharma also spoke on the occasion and said that there was nothing against any Indian belonging to any religious in the CAA.
Prominent social activist B.S Jamwal (Ex. DC), Tawi Andolan President, Chander Mohan Sharma, Sabha Vice-President, Virendar Mohan Magotra, Satyanand Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, Nanak Chand Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion.
