Burning of crops

Sir,
Unfortunate as it looks that a farmer rearing and growing crops fears whether he can reap it safely and wholly. Many times fires destroy the crops and his hard labour.
The reports that at many places in Samba, Bishnah , R.S.Pura nearly 200 to 270 canals of land with standing crops were either burnt or damaged extensively should cause concern.  Electric short circuits , falling electric lines on the crops when winds blow cause such fires.
The wires are connected loose between the ends and they touch each other to cause sparks and the fire. It should be the responsibility of the PDD to take note of the problem and act to save life and property.
Yours etc
