Burglary case solved in Budgam, 3 arrested

SRINAGAR, Mar 6: Police in Budgam today said to have solved a burglary case within 48 hours by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of the crime while also recovering stolen property worth lakhs of rupees.
Police Station Budgam received a complaint stating therein that a burglary had occurred at Railway Quarters in the vicinity of Railway Station Budgam in which goods worth lakhs consisting of Laptops, Watches, Cell phones and Gold Jewellery were stolen, police said
Accordingly, it said, a case vide FIR number 58/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Budgam and a team was constituted to nab the burglars.
During the investigation, police said, many suspects were called for questioning.
“On questioning the suspects, the investigating team got some leads which led to the arrest of three involved accused persons. They have been identified as Haroon Rashid Khan son of Abdul Rashid Khan resident of Sheikhpora, Syed Arslan Riyaz son of Syed Riyaz Shah resident of Gotipora A/P Housing Colony Ompora and Naseer Ahmad Shah @ Sahba son of Mohd Aslam Shah resident of Khansahab, Budgam,” police said.
The team was also able to recover stolen property worth lakhs from their possession. “The recovery also included the stolen property of another case FIR number 22/2022 dated 31/01/2022.”
