Bukhari to run JKCA till elections

SRINAGAR, July 27: The High Court today gave go-ahead to Chief Executive Officer Ashiq Hussain Bukhari (retired DIG) to run the affairs of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association along with Administrators till elections of the Association are held.
Hearing an application for clarification as to how for the affairs of JKCA shall remain with CEO and Administrators, the Division Bench of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Tashi Rabstan while closing the application, said the Court has already authorized the Administrators along-with the assistance of CEO to run the affairs of the JKCA till rules of JKCA are amended and election held.
“There is no need of any further clarification on this aspect of the matter. On December 6 last year, the DB had appointed Bukhari as Chief Executive Officer of the association, with the direction to him that after approval of the Committee of Administrators, he shall associate some reliable undisputed members of the working committee who have not incurred disqualification, for running the affairs of JKCA under the supervision and control of Committee of Administrators till rules are
amended and elections are held.
Court had appointed Supreme Court Judge and High Court Chief Justice as two Administrators for the Association, in implementing the recommendations of the Lodha Committee as accepted by the Supreme Court.
