JAMMU: Several deputations called on Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta here today and projected their grievances and demands.
The Deputations had come from various areas including Qasim Nagar, Narwal Bala, Gadhigarh.
The deputation from Qasim Nagar, ward no 48 demanded installation of public stands through PHE department for general public use and for upgradation of existing transformer in the area.
Taking note of the request, the Speaker issued immediate directions to the concerned department to initiate necessary action on priority.
Deputation from Narwal Bala demanded construction of a boundary wall for the children’s graveyard in the area as the place is turning into a dumping ground besides a spot for anti social elements to gather.
Responding to the issue, the Speaker assured the people of early action regarding the same and allocated release Rs 2 lakh through his CDF for the construction of the same.
Meanwhile, the deputation from Gadhigarh demanded for immediate construction of the left lane of the Satwari-RS Pura road which is in dilapidated condition.
The Speaker informed that the works for the same will be started by the end of this week.
Besides, the Speaker had a series of meetings, also handed over a check for Rs 30,000 to Sunil Kumar for meeting his medical expenditure.
