BSP celebrates 126th B’day of Dr Ambedkar

JAMMU, May 18: 126th birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar was celebrated today by State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party in village Tomal of Marh constituency.
Raja Ram, MP Rajya Sabha and Coordinator, J&K, was the chief guest on the occasion while the programme was presided over by party State president, Som Nath Majotra.
Paying rich tributes to Dr Ambedkar, Raja Ram told the gathering that Dr Ambedkar has laid the foundation of a very strong and prosperous nation in which all citizens are free and there is no scope left for any type of discrimination, be it caste, creed, colour, region or religion.
While speaking on MHA’s decision of unilateral ceasefire in J&K, the MP said this decision of the Government is indicative of the fact that present policy of handling the Kashmir situation is in-effective and both Centre and State Governments is totally confused on this front.
Som Nath Majotra, in his speech, said that it is only Ambedkar whose followers have been increasing day by day after his demise in 1956. He said when whole of the society will learn Ambedkarism, then true democracy will appeared in India will once again become a world leader. He appealed all sections of society to study and follow Ambedkarism and get rid of superstitions.
Charanjeet Chargotra, State vice president, while addressing the people, added that people of State as well as whole country are fed up with hollow promises of BJP and are looking for an alternative. BSP era has begun and we should work to shoulder this responsibility. He said BSP is committed to provide alternate and people should join it without any hesitation.
