JAMMU, Apr 5: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited today commissioned 4G WiFi Hot Spot service at Jammu Airport.
The service was inaugurated by Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliament and Kavinder Gupta Speaker Legislative Assembly in the presence of Gautam, Director, Airport Authority of India, Jammu & Gautam Lal GMTD BSNL Jammu.
Jugal Kishore Sharma welcomed the initiative of the BSNL and said that the new service will help the passengers in general and tourists in particular. Devotees visiting Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and other tourists places will get benefit with the launch of this service, he added.
Gautam Lal, General Manager BSNL said that WiFi Hot Spot facility is also being provided at different public places like Jammu High Court, Government Medical College, Jammu University, GGM Science College etc.
It was informed that the passengers/users have to login after turning on WiFi services on laptop/smartphone or any wireless device. The BSNL-TWiFi prompt will come on the screen and the user has to register. The user will be provided with OTP (one time password). After verification the user will be directed to payment gateway after selecting desired plan.
The plans for WiFi Hot Spot are Data 200 MB Rs. 30, Data 400 MB Rs 50, Data 800 MB Rs 90 and Data 1.5 GB Rs 150.
