JAMMU, May 23: The third day of the four-day BSF Jammu Region Lawn Tennis Spandan League 2026 witnessed high-energy matches, competitive spirit and impressive performances as players competed across Junior Singles, Open Singles, Women’s Singles and Open Doubles categories.
In the Junior Singles third round, Hardeep Sudan dominated Arsh Arora with a convincing 6-0 victory, while Mayank Gupta outplayed Aayank Jaishwal by 6-3. Ritesh Kumar defeated Himanshu by 6-1, Nakul registered a close 6-4 win against Aarav Manhas and Naman comfortably defeated Ashutosh by 6-0.
The Junior Singles quarterfinals produced more exciting contests. Shaksham defeated Prithvi Sharma 6-1, Hardeep Soodan continued his excellent run with a 7-0 win over Vinamra Gupta, while Mayank Gupta edged past Ritesh Kumar by 7-3.
In the Open Singles quarterfinals, Hardeep Soodan defeated Dr Shorya by 7-2, while Abhinandan secured victory over Vikram Gupta. Darshan Singh defeated Jai Yadav by 7-3, and Sarthak overcame Naman by 6-2 to move into the next round.
The Women’s Singles category also witnessed intense competition. In the quarterfinals, Sarah Mahajan defeated Yamini by 7-1, while Palak Sahu beat Keshwi Gupta by 7-2. In the semifinals, Arushi defeated Sarah Mahajan by 7-3 and Ridhya overcame Palak by the same margin.
The Women’s Singles final turned out to be a thrilling affair as Ridhya emerged champion after defeating Arushi by 7-4. In the Open Doubles quarterfinals, Romitra and Raghav defeated Vidur Bhardwaj and Abhinandan in a closely fought tie-breaker by 6-5 (7-4). Several teams advanced through walkovers, while Jai Yadav and Harshwardhan registered a convincing 6-1 win over Kuldeep and Sumeen. Amar and Sarthak also impressed with a 7-2 victory over Sahib and Ayush.
