BSF hands over body to Rangers

JAMMU, May 1: The BSF today returned body of the Pakistani infiltrator to the Rangers, who was gunned down yesterday morning after he intruded into the Indian territory, during a flag meeting held at Chilyari along the International Border (IB) in Samba sector.
Official sources said the BSF handed over the body of Amanat Ali, 32, son of Rashid Ahmed R/o Shakargarh, Narowal in Pakistan to the Rangers at Chilyari border after the Rangers confirmed that the intruder belonged to Pakistan.
The BSF handed over all belongings of Amanat Ali to the Rangers, which had been recovered from his possession after the killing.
The intruder was yesterday killed at Border Pillar No. 189 near Border Out Post of Chilayari in Samba sector.
Recoveries made from his possession included one identity card of his wife with the name of Assia Parveen, one Nokia mobile handset with SIM and memory card, four Pakistani currency notes worth Rs 25 in the denomination of Rs 5 (three) and Rs 10 (one) apart from a coin, one slip containing contact numbers and addresses, school admission form, 23 stitching needles, one pocket diary and two packets of cigarettes.
