BRO releases Rs 38 lakh for Samba-Battal road: MoS PMO

JAMMU, Sept 2: There is good news for the people of Samba and Udhampur districts as the work on much talked about Samba -Battal road will start soon.

This was posted by Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh on X who represents Kathua-Doda-Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency. “The BRO has released Rs 38.84 crore for the rehabilitation works on the road.” The Minister complimented the BRO for issuing the orders within 48 hours after the issue was brought in the notice of the organization.

“In response to a public demand from the local people, an assurance was given on 31st August to the local natives that the issues related to repair and restoration of the road through BRO and sanction of the required amount would be resolved at the earliest.”

“I am glad to share that within 48 hours, BRO has issued orders for allocation of Rs 38.84 crore for rehabilitation work on Samba - Battal Road. The amount will be released within one week. Meanwhile, the work is being started immediately,'' Dr Jitendra posted on X.

“This is yet another reiteration of the promptness and sensitivity with which the Government headed by PM @NarendraModi responds to the genuine grievances of its citizens,” he said.
