Srinagar, May 13: The field executive of Legal Metrology Department under the supervision of Assistant Controller Altaf Hussain claimed to have seized two truck-loads of bran in Kupwara procured from outside the State.
An official statement said the loads of bran in bags of 20 Kg were found lesser in weight by about 500g and even the declaration of MRP on the bags was smudged.
He said the Assistant Controller slapped a fine of Rs 15,000 on the defaulters.
