Bovines smuggling bids foiled, 36 cattle rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, Sept 11: Jhajjar Kotli, Hatli, Samba and Ghagwal police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 36 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka near Suketar and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AS-6283.
During checking, police rescued 19 cattle from the vehicle and seized it, while the accused smugglers managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 88/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ajay Singh Chib foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
In another similar incident, a team from Hatli Police Post led by SI Maninder rescued 5 cattle from a dumper bearing registration number PB11AU-9250 and seized it. The cattle smugglers managed to fled away from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 343/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Kathua Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Samba laid a naka and intercepted a truck coming from Kathua towards Jammu.
During frisking, police rescued 10 cattle from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Chak Murar, Tehsil Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 242/18 under relevant Sections has been registered at Samba Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Samba Inspector Chanchal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Deepak Digra and SSP Samba Dr Koshal Sharma.
In another incident, a team from Ghagwal Police Station led by SHO SI Bansi Lal during checking at Tapyal intercepted a load carrier.
During frisking, police rescued 2 cattle from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Abdual Majid, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Dawara District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 121/18 under Section 188/RPC and 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
