Bovine smuggling bid foiled, eight animals rescued

RAMBAN, May 12: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued eight milch animals being smuggled illegally.
Acting on a specific information generated by police, a team from police post Sangaldan laid a naka at Kentha Morh, Dalwah and arrested a bovine smuggler namely Abdul Rashid son of Mohd Qasim, a resident of Kanga (Ramban) who was trying to smuggle eight bovines on foot.
It was ascertained that he was smuggling all these bovines without permission towards Kashmir via Tatta Pani. The accused has been arrested while a case under relevant Section has been registered at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
The bovine smuggling bid was foiled by a police party led by Incharge police post Sangaldan, SI Parvez Khandey, under the supervision of SHO Gool, Inspector Sunil Arya, Deputy SP (Ops) Gool, Vipan Chanderan and SSP Ramban, Randeep Kumar.
