JAMMU, June 23: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK20-5510.
During checking, police team rescued 5 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Mohammad Shoket, son of Mohammad Saleem of District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 285/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
