The protestors said that they will launch 24 hour hunger strike from tomorrow which will be followed by fast unto -death. They alleged that they were cheated by the successive governments on the name of allotment of five marlas of land in safer areas to shift their children, women folk and elderly persons during the border tension and shelling from across. They said former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah had promised to allot five marlas of land in safer places and later the BJP had also made a promise in this regard but the demand was never met.
They said that in case the demands, including allotment of land in safer areas were not met they will intensify the struggle to take it to logical conclusion.
