REASI, Sept 3: Reasi Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 55 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A Police party from P/S Reasi, led by SI Ghulam Mohd, laid a naka near DC Office Reasi and intercepted the accused, who was on way from Bus Stand Reasi towards Gran Morh Reasi. During frisking, the Police team succeeded in recovery of total 55 poly pouches (34 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each, 14 poly pouches measuring 375/375 ml each and 07 poly pouches measuring 180/180 ml each) of J&K Excise liquor from possession of the accused, identified as Om Parkash of Ser Sundwan, tehsil Bhomag, district Reasi.
The accused person has been arrested and recovered liquor was seized. On this connection, a case FIR No. 181/2017 U/S 48-(a) J&K Excise Act was registered at Police Station Reasi.
