Bollywood star Hina Khan visits AGS Boniyar

Srinagar, Aug 27: Bollywood actress Hina Khan visited Army Goodwill School (AGS) Boniyar in Uri today, interacting with students and teachers and praising the institution's education system, infrastructure and the confidence of its young learners.

During her interaction with students, Khan said she had visited several schools but found AGS Boniyar to be "one of the best".

She said she was particularly impressed by the confidence, intelligence and clarity of purpose displayed by the students.

The actress was also impressed to learn that several students of the school had qualified NEET, while others were preparing to pursue careers as doctors, engineers and professionals in various fields.

"They are very clear with what they want in life," Khan said, appreciating the students' ambition and determination at a young age.

Khan also praised the school's infrastructure, teachers and subsidised education, and appreciated the role of the defence establishment in providing quality educational facilities in smaller and remote areas.

She said similar institutions should be developed in major cities to provide children with access to quality education, dedicated teachers and a supportive learning environment.

During the interaction, Khan noted that many of the students had been associated with AGS Boniyar since nursery and had now reached Classes 9 and 10.

She said their long association with the school reflected the positive environment and quality of education provided by the institution. The students enthusiastically welcomed the actress, interacting with her, seeking autographs and sharing memorable moments during her visit.

Khan said the confidence and determination she witnessed among the students were among the most impressive aspects of her visit. Her interaction left the students encouraged, while her appreciation brought a sense of pride to the AGS Boniyar community.
