Body of drowned boy recovered

BHADARWAH, June 23: The body of a drowned student was fished out today from Neeru River at Galgandhar area.
According to a police official, Sohaib Malik (17), son of Farooq Ahmed Malik, a student of Government Higher Secondary School Gath, had drowned while taking bath in the Neeru River near Nai-Dhangri village of Doda district on Friday evening.
The other two boys, who were bathing with Sohaib, immediately raised an alarm and informed the locals, who reached the spot and also informed the police. An SDRF team was also called and a joint rescue operation was launched on the same day but the body was untraceable.
However, after hectic efforts the body was located today and after which it was fished out and shifted to Hospital for legal formalities.
