JAMMU, Oct 11: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Ek Sath Rang Mandal presented 19th musical play “Suhagan” during its Saturday musical series.
The play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and music was composed by Raju Bajgal.
The programme was inaugurated by VK Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Dr Anju Dogra, Medical Officer of Jammu and Kashmir Health Department, Vijay Malla, writer, producer and director of IPTA and Romesh Chander, event director were the guests of honour.
The program commenced with Song of Karva Chauth “Ajj Ae Karva Chauth Suno–Ari Sabhe Suhagan”, “Veero Kudiya Karwda-Sarv Suhagan Karwda” sung by the renowned artistes Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Hem Raj and KK Joshi.
The renowned artists Bodh Raj, KK Joshi, MC Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Neelam Gandotra, Kamli Devi, Hem Raj, Kuldeep Raj and Avtar Kour enthralled the audiences.
Among others present were Deeraj Singh, Sourav Bhat, Raman Koul, JK Bhat, Deepak Kumar Dogra, Shivani Disgotra, Akshay Bhat, Bhoomika Chib, Neelam Chib, etc.
Earlier, ML Dogra presented the welcome address, while as the programme was conducted by KK Joshi, vice chairman, BLSKS.
