JAMMU, Oct 29: To celebrate the Diwali Festival and promote traditional culture of the State, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 127th musical play “Abhishek” in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM as parts of its regular feature at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu on the theme of “ National Integration & Communal Harmony”.
The Program was inaugurated by the chief guest V K Magotra, while Dr Tara Singh Charak and Vinod Dogra, were the guests of honour. The musical play was written, produced and directed by M L Dogra and music was composed by music teacher Raju Bajgal.
The chief guest lauded the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan -(NGO) for underlining the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the State in generating awareness among the masses about various social evils through musical plays, theatre and drama which are still very powerful medium of communication.
Earlier in his welcome address M L Dogra, BLSKS Chairman, highlighted the importance of the Deepawali festival.
The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed were Usha Handoo, Parul Sharma, Renu Saproo, Hem Raj, Deevam Jandiyal, Sakshi, Nitin Sharma, Ananya, Rakshit Sharma, Ritesh Magotra, Shaan Khan, Rahul Raina, Sunny Manhas, Sonu Gupta, Sahil Gill (Shaku) and Soyam. The programe coordinator Master Deepak Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks.
